My baby is 6 months old and I can't believe how quickly time is flying by!! We have been under a lot of stress trying to sell this house and I feel like because of it we have been missing out on so many things with Kalen. I was looking through M's phone the other day and found a bunch of pictures from when Kalen was first born. He was so small, I can't believe that he was that tiny. Here we are 6 months out and I hardly remember what he looked like so small.
This is the first time I got to hold Kalen and already I was head over heals in love! Forgive my appearance I had just birthed that beautiful little boy a couple of hours before.
6 months in I love you so much! I can't wait to spend the rest of my life seeing you grow! You are changing everyday. You can roll from your front to your back and vise versa although when you get really mad you refuse to roll tummy to back so mommy or daddy have to help you. You have just recently started to get up on your knees to scoot yourself around. I imagine that in the next month or so you will be crawling around here like a mad baby.
You have started to reach for me when you want to be picked up and I have to admit that I love it when you hold those little arms out to me. When you look outside your eyes open wide with wonder and amazement.
You are such an amazing little man and we love you so much!
Wow our baby is growing up SO quickly!! I love him more and more with each passing day. He has recently stopped snuggling with me when it is time for bed and it makes me sad :( Tonight he was extra tired from a day full of playing with grandma and when it was time for bed he laid his head on my shoulder as I held him in front of a mirror. He looked in the mirror and smiled at me and my heart melted on the spot. I love that boy!

A few weeks ago I realized that we do not have any photos of our little family. I have taken a million pictures of Kalen and half a million of M & Kalen. There are a few pictures of Kalen and I (M does not take pictures unless I ask him to) and NO pictures of our little family.
I had thought about it several times but I always had a reason not to take the picture. I had visions of the photos we could take and then they never happened. I thought easter would be good but then it never happened, mother's day nope, father's day nope and Canada day nope. So it is my goal over the next while to take lots of family photos.
Here are the first of hopefully many.
We were not dressed very nice and I had no makeup on but there can be no more silly reasons for not taking pictures.
P.S. I just have to say that I think our little family is pretty dang cute!!

We are building a new house and I am more then a little worried we will never get to live in it. When we first discovered that we were going to be expanding our family we made a very quick decision to buy a new house. At the time we had HORRIBLE neighbors and we felt for the safety of this child we could not live next to these people any more. Now one year later the horrible neighbors are gone and we finally finished all of the renovations on our place, 3 years later.
We were originally supposed to take possession of the new house just a few weeks after Kalen's due date but due to lack of action on the builders part our possession kept getting pushed back. This fact lead us to be unsure of when we should sell our current home. My parents very generously opened their home to us for how ever long we needed it. As a new mother I felt it was important to have some time with the new baby by myself in our home so we waited to put the house up for sale.
We spoke to our realtor and decided that June was the right time to list our place. Now here we sit the beginning of September and our house is still on the market and our possession date is fast approaching.
In honor of the home we hope to be ours very soon I thought I would post some recent pictures of it.
Our new home is a duplex, we are on the left side.
Here is the kitchen. The tile is a bit crazy but I like it.
Close up of the back splash
Looking in from the back deck
The living room, kitchen island and door to the back deck
The half bath. I choose this color to go with the back splash..... it's crazy!
Kalen's new room
The entrance from the garage
So now here we are hoping and praying that someone wants to buy our house in the next 20 days!!
