Bath time

Kalen loves bath time. Kalen and daddy are bath time buddies and I am so happy that they have some time that is "their time". With Harper here we have started to have two babies in one bath but that only happens every second or third night. As a special treat we started using bubbles in Kalen's bath when he is in there alone. Let me tell you, he LOVES them! Here is the proof:
how cute is this kid!
eating the bubbles
he did not want the bubbles on his head
a bubble mustache like daddy
playing away
cleaning his hands with the bubbles

I love this little guy SO much!

Some pictures of the babes

Little miss Harper hanging out
Kalen and his baby sister
Kalen playing with his sister and her bouncer
Kalen having a bit of a temper tantrum
(most of our days are spent playing and then throwing mini temper tantrums right now)
Harper LOVES the tv right now

Kalen finally got his shots....

I finally took Kalen in to get his 18 month vaccinations late last week and it went so well! George came over and watched Harper for me while we went. I was pretty worried that she was going to cry the whole time we were gone but I fed her and put her down to sleep and she stayed asleep the whole time we were gone, thank goodness! (she just so happens to be a pretty big momma suck)

Anyways back to the K man. He did so well, he cried for a second right when the needle went in but as soon as the nurse handed him a toy for distraction he completely forgot and started to play with the toy.

Kalen is still on the small side for his age but he is a perfect match for weight verse height. He is in the 10th percentile for both weight and height but the 48th percentile for weight verse height.

Kalen at 21 months:
weight: 24 pounds 3 ounces
height: 31 3/4 inches (2 ft 7 3/4 inches)

I can't believe that a little over 3 months from now he is going to be 2! It seems like just yesterday we were celebrating his 1st birthday. Wow time flies when you are having fun!

2 months... a bit late

Harper had her 2 month vaccinations today. She cried way more then Kalen ever did when she got her shots but I feed her while we were there and that seemed to help calm her down for a little while. When we got home she was pretty fussy so I put her down for a nap, she slept for just over an hour and then she cried and whimpered for the next few hours. She finally decided to fall asleep again around 3:30 and slept for about 3 hours. She took a bath after dinner with her big brother and now she is asleep. Let's hope she sleeps well tonight, she has been having some really good sleeps for the last few weeks and I hope she keeps it up.

So anyways...... about her appointment.
Weight : 10 pounds 2 ounces (wow)
Height : 21.5 inches
Head : 15 inches

She has grown so much!! She is bigger then Kalen was at this point which I am surprised about but he was always a small guy. Kalen was 9 pounds 2 ounces and 20 inches long at 2 months old.

The nurse confirmed that Harper's head has a flat spot on the left side. I have been thinking it was for a while now so I was not surprised. She gave me some info to try and reposition her to help it go back but she also said we should attend some repositioning classes as soon as we can.

The nurse also said that I should talk to someone about by moods........ I have been having a really hard time with this adjustment emotionally and as hard as I keep trying to fight it I don't think I am winning. I find myself either over reacting to everything or just not caring about things at all. I have always been one for a bit of over reacting but I can't control it right now and that is not a good thing. I just wish I could stop crying all the time..... I hate crying!

Well that is all for now. I have so many things I want to write about but I just can't get them out....

Santa is our friend

My mom and I took Kalen and Harper to see Santa today and to say I was worried would be an understatement. I was sure Kalen was going to loose his mind when I placed him on Santa's lap. Well let me tell you that all of the Santa talk around our house must have worked because Kalen LOVED Santa! We even got a smile :)

Merry Christmas everyone!!!
